Details for Australian Supporters
A factual, informative invitation from an Australian citizen or permanent resident can assist us in processing an application, but it does not guarantee the granting of a visa. We have provided the following checklist to assist you to prepare a letter of support and associated documentation.

Proof of your Australian citizenship or permanent residence status. (If you are a temporary resident please provide details of your visa)

If related, what is the relationship, eg. The applicant is my niece, my sister’s (include name of sister) daughter, etc.

What type of support are you undertaking to provide, accommodation, air travel, other expenses while your visitor is in Australia.

Your occupation.

Evidence of income, savings, or other sources of funds to support your visitor (this can include a copy of a recent bank statement or recent tax assessment notice).

Length of intended visit.

Other friends and relatives to be visited.

If you have previously invited other relatives or friends and they were granted a visa, details of their names, dates of birth, relationship and approximate time of visit.
Fully documented letters of invitation can assist us in the processing of the visa application.
